Coronavirus Update for High Risk Patients
“CORONAVIRUS UPDATE A very small number of our patients will already have been identified as being high risk. They will have received a text message or letter from the NHS in the past week. Those patients should stay at home for 12 weeks. NHS Digital are currently working to identify the additional patients who will also be advised to stay home for 12 weeks. We anticipate this information imminently but currently we are not able to confirm which patients will fall into this group. Until we receive further guidance, we are unable to issue supportive letters regarding potential high-risk patients. Our advice to all our patients is to stay home, apart from essential shopping, essential work and one form of exercise each day. In all circumstances keep a 2-metre distance from other people and wash your hands regularly.
Take care, stay at home, protect our NHS and save lives.”

Coronavirus (Wuhan Flu)
Stay at home if you have either:
A high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
A new, continuous cough – this means you’ve started coughing repeatedly.
Do not attempt to come to the surgery or go to a pharmacy or hospital.
There is no need to contact 111 to tell them you are self-isolating.
Testing for Coronavirus is not needed if you’re staying at home.
How long to stay at home
If you have symptoms, stay at home for 7 days
If you live with other people, they should stay at home for 14 days from the day the first person got symptoms
If you live with someone who is 70 or over, has a long-term condition, is pregnant or has a weakened immune system, try to find somewhere else for them to stay for 14 days.
If you feel that you cannot cope with your symptoms at home, your symptoms get worse, or you do not get better after 7 days, you should use the 111 online coronavirus service which can be found here:
Self Isolation Notes:
If your employers require a sick certificate as you are self -isolating for 14 days, please follow the link below:
Sick certificates for those at risk following government advice:
The practice will not issue certificates for this, please download a letter for your employer here.
Social distancing for everyone in the UK and protecting older people and vulnerable adults
The Government has issued advice on social distancing measures we should all be taking to reduce social interaction between people in order to reduce the transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19). This is particularly important for those who are at increased risk of severe illness from coronavirus.
