Both sites have disabled access and Hadleigh Lodge has a large patient car park. A pharmacy and dental practice are also located at the Hadleigh Lodge site.

The Practice is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm and offers extended hours appointments outside of these times and gives patients information regarding the Out of Hours services when the surgery is closed.

Under the health and Social Care Act 2008 (The Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009 part 4), the registering body (The Hadleigh practice) is required to provide to the Care quality Commission a statement of purpose, which is as follows:

Aims and Objectives

The Hadleigh Practice aims to provide personalised, high quality primary care treatment to our patients through consultations, examinations and treatment of medical conditions. We will focus on the prevention of disease by promoting healthy living.

We will try to understand and meet the needs of our patients, involve them in decision making about their treatment and care and encourage them to participate fully. We will involve other professionals in the care of our patients when it is our patient’s best interests i.e. Referral for specialist care and advice. All patients will be shown courtesy and respect at all times irrespective of ethnic origin, religious belief, personal attributes, sexual orientation or the nature of their health problem.

We will ensure that all members of the team have the right skills and training to carry out their duties competently. We will also create an educational environment where staff promote and share learning amongst themselves, the Partners and doctors in training.

Our premises are kept to a good standard, and we try to ensure environmental sustainability wherever possible, including the installation of solar panels.

The registered activities and service types have been agreed by The Hadleigh Practice partners in accordance with CQC guidance. Services are described under registered activity and service type. The regulated activities under CQC are:

  • Diagnostic and screening procedures
  • Surgical procedures
  • Family Planning
  • Treatment of disease, disorder or injury
  • Maternity and midwifery

Collaborative working

Our practice is a shareholder of Castleman healthcare Ltd, and we are therefore working collaboratively and participating (where relevant) in shared delivery of our care across our locality.

We also work in a Primary Care Network (Poole North) with our locality practices (Harvey, Canford Health and Birchwood)
